Planning Drawing

Here are some of the other elements that I thought of putting into my picture, but they turn out to be too distracting to convey my theme, a grant place, here.

This is a incense burner that stands outside of a small temple in Yuanming Yuan. The carving and gilding are very beautiful and interesting to draw.

This kind of lion statue is very common in architectures after Ming Dynastry. The lions are symbols of power, and are supposted to guard the yards, keeping ways all the demons and evil spirits.

The basic plan of my palace is ispired by this summer palace building.

And finally, I have my final plan for the palace!

The palace will be built upon layers of montaineous landscape. The general plan will be semestrical, which requires a much closer look and attention into details. Waterfalls will be spreades among the mountain, so the fluidity of the water are visible. The rocky base of the montain will be ornamented with corridors, stairs, bridges and plants.
